Mohammed Khalfan Al Seyabi and Ahmed Khamis Al Hammadi from Abu Dhabi, Yousef Salem Al Kaabi from Fujairah, and Ali Khamis Al Ketbi from Al Ain all died during a suicide bombing attack on Tuesday in Yemen’s port city, Aden.  The bodies of the soldiers were brought back by plane to Abu Dhabi Al Bateen airport Wednesday night, where high rank military officials attended a special ceremony to pay their respects to the fallen heroes.

UAE  is part of the Arab coalition in the Saudi led military operation  Restoring Hope. The operation is aimed at restoring peace in the war torn Yemen and backing up the legitimate government of the country. To this day, more than 50 Emirati soldiers have died in Yemen while serving their national duty. Families of the martyrs express deep grief for their loss, yet are extremely proud and honoured to have men that gave their lives performing their national duty. November 30 is officially inaugurated as Memorial Day for the UAE martyrs who passed away in Yemen
