Janet Jackson converts to Islam
Published on September 21, 2015

From ending her ‘Unbreakable’ tour with the words “Insha Allah” which translates into “If Allah wills” to less revealing costumes and more songs about family, Janet Jackson is showing the world her new life as a convert. Whether the American singer became a Muslim was a question since 2012 when she got married to Qatari billioner Wissam Al Mana, 40. However, now we know the diva is taking her new faith seriously; a source close to Janet and her husband spoke to Britain’s The Sun about the issue saying that “She feels like she has found a home with her new religion and has told members of her family, who completely respect her choice.”
Janet is not the first to convert to Islam from the Jackson family. Her brother Jermain also converted before her. It was a well thought-through decision, as the source said “She has spent a great deal of time studying the religion and its followers. The days of raunchy dance moves and sexual lyrics are long gone for Janet.”
