Stretch marks can appear due to several factors like rapid weight gain, weight loss, pregnancy and others. The best thing you can do is try to prevent them because once they appear; it is hard to get rid of them. Sometimes they appear naturally like for women during pregnancy, however even then they can be prevented. If you are losing or gaining weight, do it the right way which is gradually. Stretch marks appear due to sudden body size changes when the skin cannot handle the stretching. If you didn’t manage to prevent stretch marks, don’t fret; there are ways to fight them.
-Topical solutions like cocoa butter are the best method to prevent the formation of stretch marks. Cocoa butter has special ingredients that help moisturize the skin and prevent the damage.
-Aloe vera is another substance that can help reduce stretch marks. The recipe is to mix vitamin A, vitamin E and aloe vera gel and rub the mixture into affected area. Another option is to rub in aloe vera alone and wash off after 15 minutes.
-A healthy diet will help by providing enough nutrients for regenerating and growing tissues, so stock up on protein and vitamins C and E.
– Egg whites contain amino acids and proteins which help fight stretch marks. Whisk egg whites, apply to necessary area, leave to dry and wash off. Apply olive oil for moisturising.
-Exfoliate your skin with sugar, almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. After a month of such exfoliation, you’ll see clear results. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and makes stretch marks less obvious. Just rub in the mixture every day before showering.
-Lemon and potato juice are also said to help stretch marks. Just rub half of a lemon or a potato peel into skin, leave for some time and rinse.
-Workout. Tone your body by gradually losing weight, this way your skin will firm up causing the tiger stripes to fade.
